About Tavistock

Tavistock became a borough in 1921, carved out of the former Centre Township, so members of what became Tavistock Country Club could play golf on Sundays. A local blue law barred Sunday sports at the time. Today the borough is mostly the golf course plus a handful of homes, with three commissioners running it under the Walsh Act form of government.

Tavistock borders Haddonfield, Barrington and Lawnside and shares Haddonfield’s 08033 ZIP code. If you like the location, the nearby towns below are where homes actually come up for sale.
